The Region 1 Sports Carnival got under way today with Table Tennis as the first event. Hosted by Lions Club of Georgetown Central, it was held at the Penang Civil Service Association, Jalan Macalister, Penang from 9.00 a.m.The meet only attracted four Clubs i.e. LC Georgetown Central, LC George Town, LC George Town Mutiara and LC Penang Metropolitan.
Our representatives were quite successful with Lion Tina Tan winning the ladies' singles event and whilst partnering President Alan in the doubles' event, emerged 2nd runners-up.
