Mutiara Lions joined other Lions from Region 1 to participate in the District's Crime Prevention Campaign 2010 held at the Penang Times Square on 21 March 2010. The event was jointly organised by Region One Lions together with the Penang State Government, the Royal Malaysian Police and the Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (Penang branch).
Guest of Honour was our very own T.Y.T. Yang Di Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang Tun Dato' Seri Utama (Dr.) Haji Abdul Rahman b. Haji Abbas. District Governor Choong Kwei Loi, YB Chow Hon Yeow, Penang State Executive Councillor and Penang Chief Police Officer DCP Dato' Wira Ayub were amongst the dignitaries present at the project.The project showcased a static display by the Police, a K-9 exhibition by the Police Canine Unit and also a "snatch theft" display.
Mutiara Lions present were Past Council Chairperson Allan Cheah, Past District Governor Dato' Khoo Kay Huat and 2nd Vice President Tina Tan.
