The inaugural Lions GTM Charity Golfathon held on 09 October 2011 at the Penang Golf Resort, 2011 was a very successful event.
60 golfers participated in this event which teed off at 7.30 a.m. in light drizzle at the Penang Golf Resort, Bertam, Penang. Notable Lions who participated in the event was Past District Governor Woon Fong Piew from LC Petaling Jaya and lions from Lions Club of George Town and the host Club.
Guest of Honour at this fund raiser was Penang's Head of State, His Excellency Tun Dato' Seri Utama (Dr) Haji Abdul Rahman B. Haji Abbas.
