President Mark Labrooy led a party of ten Lions and their spouses on a quest to enhance and strengthen the ties of Sisterhood Alliance with our sister club, the Lions Club of Medan Raya in District 307A, Indonesia from 08-11 March 2012.
The Lions Club of Medan Raya is our third sister club, twinned during the term of Past President Lim Hock Gee during the 1995-1996 fiscal year.
Accompanying President Mark were Past Council Chairperson Allan Cheah, Past District Governor Dato' Khoo Kay Huat, Zone 1 Chairperson (Club Secretary) May Cheah, 1st Vice President Monica Sio, 2nd Vice President Gertrude Soong, Charter President Danny Lim and spouse (Loh Meng Yik), Past President Yeow Chin Chuan and spouse (Irene Choo). Organising Chairperson for this trip was Lion Monica Sio.
During their stay in Medan, our Lions were given the VIP treatment and taken to local scenic areas including the Lions Hospital and also to the local farm and orchards besides the many "makan-makan" sessions.
