The first eye cataract surgery was successfully carried out on Mdm. Baby Letchimy A/P Arumugam at the Pantai Hospital, Penang by Consultant Opthalmic Surgeon, Dr (Miss) Ho Phuay Har yesterday 13 March 2012.
Sixty Four (64) year old Mdm. Baby Letchimy A/P Arumugam is the first of fifteen successful applicants of the Lions GTM-Pantai Penang Medical Fund's Free Cataract Surgery for 2012. The Management Committee of the Medical Fund approved fifteen applicants at its previous meeting in February 2012.
Members of the Medical Committee visited Mdm. Baby Letchimy at Pantai Hospital, Penang today (14 March 2012) before she was discharged.
